Calendly has some exciting updates! You might see changes to the event type editor and Availability page. We've made it easier to create event types and manage availability, so you can focus more on hosting great meetings.
Currently in beta for select users, Calendly now includes:
- A simplified event type editor
- Option for invitees to book over existing meetings
- Easier availability management with the new Default schedule and Holidays
- Improved Buffers and Max meeting limits

We're introducing new ways to optimize your scheduling efficiency, streamlining how you manage your time and interactions.

Free/busy rules: Prioritize your most important events by allowing invitees to book over less critical meetings. | |
Max limits: Define maximum daily, weekly, and/or monthly meeting limits to manage your workload effectively. | |
Flexible buffers: Set buffers to avoid back-to back meetings, which can now be edited or deleted from scheduled meeting from the Meetings page. |
Availability management
We're simplifying availability management, now accessible under Account Settings, enhancing your scheduling experience and ensuring consistency across all of your events.

Default schedule: As a part of these updates, the 'Schedules' feature will be replaced by one default schedule. You can use the 'Active on' dropdown to choose which event types your default schedule applies to. | |
Holidays: Set the holidays you observe within this section to make yourself unavailable across all your Calendly events. | |

What's moving where? Below, you'll find a before-and-after chart showing where event settings have been relocated within the event type editor.
On the left you will see the list of event settings and where they live within the previous event editor.
On the right you will see the list of where the event settings will live within the new event editor.
