Who is domain control designed for?
Domain control is built for large organizations that want tighter control over who can use their domain with Calendly.
Can I see who is using my domain?
Yes, once a domain has been verified, you can download a report detailing existing Calendly users with your domain from the Domain control screen.
Who appears in the domain report?
The report includes all Calendly users with your verified domain, including:
- Users already in your organization
- Users outside your organization using your domain
You can add free users from this list to your org using the “Add new user” process.
Does domain control apply to my domain's calendar accounts?
Yes. Any new user outside of your account will not be able to connect a protected domain's calendar. This applies to all supported calendars EXCEPT for the Outlook plug-in.
What happens when a new user tries to sign up with a protected domain?
They’ll see a message letting them know access is restricted.
They can:
- Request access from your organization
- Use a different email address, such as a personal email, to create their own account
Can I see pending users who have requested access?
Yes, your organization's Activity log will show pending users.
Does domain control affect existing users?
No. Existing users with your domain can still log in and use Calendly. Domain control only applies to new users who try to sign up using your protected domain.
What happens if I do not have enough seats for users joining using my domain?
If you are at your seat limit and a pending user requests access, you will need to add more seats from your billing page.
Is there a limit to how many domains can I add to my organization?
No, there is no limit to the number of domains an organization can verify and control.
Do I need SSO to use domain control?
Yes. Your organization must have Single Sign-On (SSO) enabled to turn on domain control.
How do I verify my domain?
After starting the verification process, Calendly will generate a code. Your IT team will need to add this code to your domain service provider (such as GoDaddy or Google Domains).
