In addition to basics like calendar connections, event durations, and buffers, Calendly gives you more ways to control when people can book time with you.
Set your start time increments
- Go to the Scheduling page and locate your event type.
- Open the
three dots menu and select Edit.
- Select More options at the bottom of the editor.
- Expand the Booking page options section.
- Under Start time increments, choose how often invitees can book (e.g., every 15 or 30 minutes).
- Select Save changes.
Limit bookings per day, week, or month
Calendly allows you to set meeting limits across event types and hosts to better manage availability and prevent overbooking. Learn how to set meeting limits.
Prevent last-minute bookings
- Go to the Scheduling page and locate your event type.
- Open the
three dots menu and select Edit.
- Expand the Availability section.
- In the Date-range section, set the minimum notice time you need before a meeting.

Lock the invitee’s time zone
By default, Calendly detects your time zone and your invitee’s time zone. For in-person events, we recommend locking the time zone to the event location. Learn how to lock the invitee's time zone.
Create a secret event
Secret event types don’t show on your main scheduling page. Only people with the direct link can book them.

secret icon will appear next to the event name.
Choose your booking date range
- Go to the Scheduling page and locate your event type.

three dots menu and select Edit.

- In the Date-range section, open the X days dropdown.
- Choose one of the following options:
- Number of days into the future – set how far ahead invitees can book. Choose calendar days or business days.
- Within a date range – pick a specific time window for booking.
- Indefinitely into the future – allow invitees to book anytime.
- Select Save changes.
