In addition to basics like calendar connections, event durations, and buffers, Calendly gives you more ways to control when people can book time with you.
Adjust start time increments
Start time increments control how often available time slots appear on your booking page. For example, a 30-minute increment displays times like 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, and so on.
- Go to the Scheduling page and select the event type you want to edit.
- Select More options at the bottom of the editor.
- Expand the Booking page options section.
- Under Start time increments, choose how often start times should appear.
- Select Save changes.
Limit bookings per day, week, or month
Calendly allows you to set meeting limits across event types and hosts to better manage availability and prevent overbooking. Learn how to set meeting limits.
Prevent last-minute bookings
Minimum scheduling notice lets you require a set amount of time between when someone books and when the meeting starts. For example, setting a 4-hour notice prevents invitees from booking a meeting that begins in less than 4 hours.
- Go to the Scheduling page and select the event type you want to edit.
- Expand the Availability section.
- Under Date-range, open the notice dropdown (for example, “4 hours”) and set the minimum notice before a meeting.
- Select Save changes.
Lock the invitee’s time zone
By default, Calendly detects your time zone and your invitee’s time zone. For in-person events, we recommend locking the time zone to the event location. Learn how to lock the invitee's time zone.
Hide an event type from your scheduling page
You can hide an event type so it does not appear on your public scheduling page. Invitees can still book it using a direct link. This setting is available on desktop only.
- Go to the Scheduling page and find the event type you want to update.
- Select the
three dots in the top-right corner of the event type card.
- Choose Make secret.
A slashed-eye icon appears next to the event name when the event is hidden. To make it public again, open the same menu and select Make public.
Set your booking date range
Your booking date range controls when invitees can schedule meetings. For example, you can allow bookings for the next 60 days, within a specific date range, or indefinitely.
- Go to the Scheduling page and select the event type you want to edit.
- Expand the Availability section.
- Under Date-range, open the range dropdown (for example, “60 days”).
- Choose one of the following options:
- Number of days into the future – set how far ahead invitees can book. Choose calendar days or week days.
- Within a date range – pick a specific time window for booking.
- Indefinitely into the future – allow invitees to book anytime.
- Select Save changes.
