The activity log

As your organization grows, you can use your activity log to keep track of what is occurring within your Calendly account. Calendly owners and admins have access to this log.

What is included in the activity log

The log will display four pieces of information per activity:

  • Category: the action edited

  • Activity: the action taken

  • By whom: the user that did the action

  • Date and time: when the action occurred

Each action will also have a Details button. This button will display more information about the activity. The information varies from action to action.

How to access the activity log

  1. Log in to your Calendly account.
  2. Navigate to your Calendly Admin Center.
  3. On the next screen, click on Security, then Activity log.

The resulting table will display account activity!

Note: Data in the activity log is deleted every 90 days.

Using the search bar in the activity log will search across all columns and details for all events. For example, if you search for an email address, you will get results from the “by whom” column and if that user exists anywhere in the event details. If you want to search for an exact string, such as with spaces, you can wrap your query in quotes (e.g. "30 minute meeting").

Exporting data from the activity log

Data from the activity log can also be exported as a .CSV file, which can contain up to 10,000 events.

If your export contains less than 1,000 events, you can to download the .CSV file from within Calendly.

If the export is greater than 1,000 events, then you will receive an email with a link to the exported .CSV file. The email will come from Calendly, and the link will expire within 24 hours.

To receive Calendly logs remotely for ingestion into a SIEM or Logging service, the API can be used. Only a Calendly owner or admin can take this action. You can find more information on the Calendly API in our developer portal.
