You can use the ActiveCampaign integration to find and update your Calendly contacts with ease.
For example, you can:
- Automatically tag new contacts based on the event they book
- Sync invitee data to ActiveCampaign custom fields
- Trigger automations or campaigns from Calendly meetings
Before you begin
You’ll need:
- An ActiveCampaign account on any subscription, with at least one customer list and site tracking enabled
- A paid Calendly plan
Connect ActiveCampaign to Calendly
- In ActiveCampaign, select Apps on the left.
- Select Calendly.
- Select Add an account, then Connect.
- Under Choose an Event, select the Calendly event type you want to use, then click Continue.
- Review the Calendly objects and select Continue.
- Map Calendly fields to ActiveCampaign fields:
- On the left, select a Calendly field
- On the right, select the corresponding ActiveCampaign field
- To add more, click + Add field mapping
- Select Finish when done
Calendly field | ActiveCampaign field |
first name | First Name |
last name | Last Name |
text reminder number | Phone |
Note: ActiveCampaign only offers default fields for Email, First Name, Last Name, and Phone Number. To map other Calendly fields, create custom fields in ActiveCampaign first. Calendly will not create new fields for you.
Once connected, the integration will appear on your Connected Apps page in ActiveCampaign.
Tags
As people schedule, ActiveCampaign tags contacts automatically with:
calendly-integration
calendly-integration-[event_type_name]
You can use these tags to build segments, trigger automations, or track events.
Disconnect ActiveCampaign from Calendly
- In ActiveCampaign, go to Apps, then Connected Apps.
- Select Calendly.
- Open the dropdown next to Add a new resource.
- Select Disconnect Account.
- In the confirmation modal, select Disconnect again.
Troubleshooting
The ActiveCampaign integration is built and managed by ActiveCampaign. For technical issues or feature requests, please contact ActiveCampaign support.
Shared event types
Shared event types will not sync over. However, team event types will sync over if you're either:
- included on the team event (as a Calendly user)
- a Calendly owner or admin
You can create a team page and add event types to that page, which will sync over.
Custom fields
If you want to map data to a new ActiveCampaign field (outside of the default options), you'll need to create a custom field in ActiveCampaign before mapping.
Limitations and tips
-
Shared event types do not sync with ActiveCampaign.
Team event types will sync if you’re:- Included on the team event
- A Calendly owner or admin
- Custom fields in ActiveCampaign must be created manually before mapping.
