Salesforce integration limits and requirements

This article is intended for Salesforce administrators and IT teams who are evaluating or managing the Calendly Salesforce integration. It covers key limits and requirements related to processing timing, Salesforce API usage, and supported authentication models.

If you’re looking for setup instructions or details about how records are created and updated, see:

Integration processing and timing

When an invitee schedules, reschedules, or cancels a meeting, Calendly sends the related meeting and invitee data to Salesforce shortly after the action occurs. Each Calendly event is processed individually rather than being grouped or batched with other events.

The API used to insert Calendly data into Salesforce is not asynchronous. In the current Salesforce package version, the createEventTemplate flow runs asynchronously relative to the Salesforce insert operation.

Supported authentication models

The Calendly Salesforce integration requires a user-authorized connection. Server-to-server authentication and callouts are not currently supported.

To continue setting up the Calendly Salesforce integration, you'll need to create a Named Credential in Salesforce that uses a personal access token associated with the Calendly account owner or admin.
