Troubleshooting access to chat

Calendly offers a chat option for all customers to get help quickly when needed. While the Calendly chatbot is available to all users, there are some situations where chat may not work as expected.

Note

The Calendly chatbot can help with various topics and questions. If you need more help, the type of support offered depends on your plan. Free plan users can email support, while paid plan users can choose between email or live chat with an agent.

Chat not showing up

The chat icon should appear at the bottom right of your screen. If it's missing, your browser may be blocking "Functional Cookies".

Go to Account Settings > Cookie Settings. Ensure "Functional Cookies" are enabled. Then, reload the page.

Browser extensions blocking chat

Certain browser extensions, especially security ones, might block chat from loading. Try accessing chat in incognito/private mode to identify possible extension conflicts.

If you are able to access chat in incognito/private mode, leave incognito/private mode and turn off each extension one at a time until you are able to access chat, refreshing the page after each attempt.

If you're using the Google Chrome Auto Translation Tool and experiencing issues, disable it by going to 'chrome://extensions/' in your address bar. You may also need to adjust your Chrome language settings at 'chrome://settings/languages' to ensure automatic translation is disabled. If needed, you can change your Calendly account language from your Account Settings page.

Chat disconnecting

Make sure you have a stable internet connection, an updated browser, and are not using incognito mode. Disable any privacy-focused extensions if needed.

Note: If you get disconnected during a chat with a support agent, you can chat back in and request the same agent by name - they will be transferred back to your conversation.
