How to edit event type permissions

You can give others access to view or edit your personal event types. This makes it easier to collaborate and share scheduling links.

Note: Event type permissions are only available for personal and shared event types, not team event types.

Edit permissions for an event type

  1. Go to the Scheduling page.
  2. (Optional) Open the My Calendly dropdown to switch to another user.
  3. Find the event type and select the three-dots-icon.pngthree dots on the event card.
  4. Choose Edit permissions.
  5. Search for the person you want to add. Then choose one of the following:
    • Can edit – lets the user change the event type settings.
    • Can view – lets the user see and share the event type, but not edit it.
    • Delete permission – removes their access.
    • Transfer ownership – gives someone else ownership. (The meeting host stays the same.)
  6. Select Apply to save your changes.

Managed event permissions

Owners, admins, and group admins can update permissions for managed events using the same steps above.

  • You can grant view or edit access to an assignee.
  • You can’t transfer ownership of a managed event type.
