Pre-approving Zoom

If you're trying to connect Zoom to Calendly and see a Request pre-approve message, this means your Zoom account requires admin approval before apps can be installed.

Some Zoom accounts are configured to restrict third-party app installations. In these cases, a Zoom admin must approve the Calendly app before users can complete the connection.

For Zoom users

If you see a Request pre-approve message while connecting Zoom to Calendly, click Request pre-approve. This sends a notification to your Zoom admin asking them to approve Calendly for Zoom in the Zoom App Marketplace.

What happens next:

  • Your Zoom admin will receive a request to review and approve the app.
  • Until approval is granted, you will continue to see the pre-approval message and won't be able to complete the connection.

If you're not sure who your Zoom admin is, contact your IT team for help.

If you're also a Zoom admin, you can approve the app yourself by following the steps below.

For Zoom admins

As a Zoom admin, you will need to pre-approve Calendly for Zoom before users in your account can connect it.

You can approve the app on one of two ways:

Option 1: During the connection process

If you're connecting Zoom to Calendly and see the pre-approval prompt:

  1. Select the option to review or approve the app.
  2. Follow the Zoom prompts to complete the approval.

Option 2: In the Zoom App Marketplace

  1. Sign into your Zoom admin account.
  2. Go to the Zoom App Marketplace
  3. Search for Calendly for Zoom
  4. Select the app and choose pre-approve (or enable it for your account).

Once approved, everyone on your Zoom account can install the app. For more help, please see Zoom’s support article.
