Connect Calendly to your AI tools

You can connect Calendly to AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to manage scheduling directly from your conversation. The steps to connect may vary depending on the AI tool.

MCP powers this connection behind the scenes, so your AI tool can take actions in your Calendly account.

What you can do

After connecting Calendly to your AI tools, you can take actions such as:

  • Find open time or view busy slots
  • Book or cancel meetings
  • Create single-use links
  • Update availability settings
  • Create or manage event types

Subscription requirements

You do not need a paid Calendly plan to connect Calendly to your AI tools using MCP. However, availability of some actions may vary depending on your Calendly plan.

Claude

Calendly is available on all Claude plans.

ChatGPT

You need a supported paid ChatGPT plan to use custom connectors:

  • Plus (with access to Developer mode)
  • Team
  • Enterprise

Free ChatGPT plans do not support custom connectors.

Some ChatGPT Plus accounts may not support custom connectors. To check, go to Settings > Apps > Advanced settings in ChatGPT and look for Developer mode

If you see Developer mode, you can continue with the setup steps below. If you don’t see it, your plan may not support custom connectors, or it may be disabled by your workspace admin.

  1. From your sidebar in Claude, select Customize.
  2. Select Connect your tools and search Calendly.

  5. Leave the OAuth Client ID and Client Secret fields blank.
  6. Select the checkbox, then select Create.

Connect Calendly to other AI tools

If your AI tool supports Model Context Protocol (MCP), you can connect it to Calendly using the MCP server URL:

In your AI tool, look for an option to add an MCP server or custom connector, then paste this URL. Follow your AI tool’s instructions to complete setup.

Example prompts
