Use your Salesforce sandbox to test and set up the Calendly package before connecting it to your production org.
You can connect your sandbox, install the Calendly package, and test your setup by scheduling and canceling events. When you're ready, disconnect the sandbox and integrate your production environment.
Before you begin
Make sure you have:
- A Calendly Teams or Enterprise account with owner or admin permissions
- A Salesforce Enterprise edition or higher with admin access
These same steps and requirements apply to production orgs.
Install the package in your Salesforce sandbox
Option 1 – You don’t have a production org connected to Calendly
- In Calendly, go to Integrations & apps > Salesforce.
- Select Test this integration with Salesforce Sandbox.
- Log in with your Salesforce sandbox credentials.
- Your sandbox username adds the sandbox name to your normal login (e.g., ilovecalendly@gmail.com.sandboxtest). Learn more: Salesforce: Create a Sandbox.
- Select Allow Access.
- Select Install the Calendly package and choose Install for All Users. Then select Done.
- Go back to Calendly and select Refresh page to complete the connection.
- If you don’t refresh, your sandbox won’t update when you schedule events.
Option 2 – You already connected a production org
Calendly can’t connect to both a sandbox and production org at the same time. If your production org is connected, you’ll need to disconnect it first.
Then follow the steps above to connect your sandbox.
Move from sandbox to production
- In Calendly, go to Integrations & apps > Salesforce, then select Disconnect.
- Select Integrate Now.
- Follow the same installation steps above to connect production.
- If you made custom settings in your sandbox, be sure to copy or re-create them in production.
