Cookies and your Calendly experience

Cookies are small data files that websites store in your web browser. Calendly uses cookies to help identify you, sign you in, and remember your preferences.

To learn more, see our Privacy Policy.

Do I need to accept cookies to use Calendly?

Not always. You can schedule most meetings or browse the Calendly website without accepting cookies. However:

  • You must accept cookies to:
    • Create a Calendly account
    • Sign in to Calendly
    • Book a meeting that collects payments
  • Cookies are also used to keep your experience secure.

Does Calendly ask for my consent?

Yes. If you're in a region with privacy laws (like the EU or California), you'll see a cookie banner the first time you visit. Calendly won’t store non-session (persistent) cookies unless you allow them.

You can also manage cookies through your browser. Check your browser’s help section for steps.

What about my invitees?

Calendly asks for cookie consent from all EU visitors—whether they're users, invitees, or just browsing. Others may see different prompts based on their region's laws.

Note: If an EU invitee views an embedded scheduling page in Safari, that visit won’t be tracked in Google Analytics.

What’s the difference between session and non-session cookies?

  • Session cookies are temporary. They’re deleted when you close your browser.

  • Non-session cookies (also called persistent cookies) stay in your browser for a longer time—even after it’s closed.

How can I manage or opt out of cookies?

  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

  • If you’re in the EU, select Cookie Settings at the bottom of our website to manage preferences.

Note: Signed-in Calendly users must allow cookies for authentication. You won’t see the cookie banner while logged in.

Can I change the cookie banner language?

Yes. The banner language will match the language set for the event type. Learn how to change the language settings for your event type.
