How to set up multiple durations for an event type

Let invitees choose how long to meet by adding multiple durations to event types in Calendly. Instead of creating separate links for each meeting length, you can offer options like 15, 30, or 60 minutes from one booking page.

Before you begin

  • This feature is available on paid plans only.
  • You manage this feature for each Event Type individually.
  • You can add up to four duration options per event type.
  • Available for all event types except Group events and Managed Event Types.

Add multiple durations to an event type

  1. Go to the Scheduling page.
  2. Select an existing event type, or create a new one.
  3. In the event type editor, select Duration.
  4. Select + Add duration option.
  5. Choose a preset option or enter a custom duration.
  6. (Optional) Add more duration options.
  7. To change the default option invitees see first, hover over a duration and select Make default.
  8. When you're done, select Save changes.

What invitees see

When someone visits your booking page, they will see time slots based on your default duration.

To choose a different length, they can select the meeting duration dropdown next to the clock-icon.png clock icon (e.g., “30 min”) just below the event name. Calendly will then update the available time slots to match that selection.

Example:

You want to offer three duration options: 15, 30, and 45 minutes. You set the default to 30 minutes, so invitees will see “30 min” on the booking page.

Invitees can open the duration dropdown to see all available options. If they choose 15 or 45 minutes, Calendly will update the calendar view to show only the time slots that fit that meeting length.
