Link scanning and safety

To protect Calendly users, Calendly scans all links within the platform and will present a warning message to alert users to potentially harmful links. Our goal is to ensure that users can trust links that they select within Calendly and to maintain the most complete and safest scheduling tool in the market.

How it works

When a user selects any link that has been saved in Calendly, we will check links against a comprehensive database of sites such as phishing and deceptive sites, and sites that host malware or unwanted software. Based on the safety of the link, Calendly will then provide an interstitial warning message or an information page if there is any threat detected.

Safe links

If there are no issues detected with the link, the user will continue to the link they selected as expected. There will be no interstitial page or impact to the user flow.

Potentially unsafe links

Links that have been deemed to be potentially unsafe will take users to an interstitial, warning the link might not be safe. Should users wish to proceed, they will be able to select the link again to proceed.
