How to add legal disclaimers to text notifications

Text notifications are available for all One-on-One event types, team event types, and Group Event types. For Enterprise accounts, Owners and Admins can add legal disclaimers in addition to the default disclaimer required by Calendly.

Note

Legal disclaimers can only be added at the organization level and are in addition to the required Calendly disclaimer. The default disclaimer can not be disabled.

Adding an additional legal disclaimer

To add additional legal disclaimers to your text notifications, follow the steps listed below:

  1. From the Admin center, select Branding.

  2. In the Organization SMS Legal Disclaimer text box, enter the additional disclaimer you would like to include with your text opt-in.

  3. Select Save Changes to append the disclaimer to all events with text reminders.

Preview the legal disclaimer

Any events that include text reminders will now show your additional legal disclaimer below the Calendly default disclaimer on the booking page.

  1. From your Event Types page, select View booking page for an event type that includes text notifications.
  2. Proceed with the invitee booking flow by selecting a date and time. 
  3. On the Enter Details page, preview your additional legal disclaimer.

Removing an additional legal disclaimer

  1. From the Admin center, select Branding.

  2. In the Organization SMS Legal Disclaimer text box, remove the additional disclaimer that has been added.

  3. Select Save Changes to remove the disclaimer from all events with text reminders.
