Some ways to use Calendly + GoToMeeting
Once an event is scheduled, the GoToMeeting details will be automatically included in the confirmation email and calendar event sent to your invitees.
GoToMeeting details can be viewed from your:
- Confirmation email
- Calendar event
- GTM account "Meeting History"
For Personal Event Types
Set the Event Type's Location as "GoToMeeting."
Your invitee will never see meeting details until after the event is scheduled.
A confirmation email will be sent to your invitee with specific meeting details.
For the best experience for you and your invitees, we recommend using Joint Calendar Notifications. With this, the meeting details will also be visible within the calendar event automatically sent to your invitee.
For Team Event Types
In Round Robin Event Types, each team member will use their GoToMeeting account for the event location.
For Collective Event Types, the GoToMeeting Organizer will be assigned by Calendly. This person will host the GoToMeeting using their account for each scheduled event. However, another member can be selected as the GoToMeeting Organizer, so as long as their GoToMeeting account is connected.
Setup your GoToMeeting Integration
Note: Calendly + GoToMeeting is available on the Premium plan. You will need a paid account with GoToMeeting and Calendly to use this feature.
1. Go to your Integrations page
2. Select the option for "GoToMeeting."
3. Click "Go to setup."
4. Connect your account.
5. Authenticate your GoToMeeting account by signing in and allow permission for Calendly to connect.
Can I offer International Dial-In numbers?
The dial-in number offered to your invitees when they schedule a meeting will be generated from your account's preferred number. If you have multiple country codes selected, they will be displayed in the invitee notification as additional dial-in numbers.
How can I add GoToMeeting details to event types for my users?
GoToMeeting can be set as the Location for Event Type Templates. At the time users are invited to your organization, Event Type Templates are assigned with predefined settings. Please note that each users will still need to connect their GoToMeeting account from the Integrations page within Calendly.
Why are my GoToMeeting location details missing for scheduled events?
If the location is missing for a scheduled event, then Calendly cannot connect to your GoToMeeting account. This can happen because:
- Your Calendly account is on the Free plan.
- You have not connected your GoToMeeting account in Calendly.
What will my invitees see if my GoToMeeting account is disconnected?
While your account is disconnected, Calendly will provide direction on your behalf. The location field will not show. Here's what they will receive:
