Connect your Google Calendar to Calendly for seamless scheduling. Avoid double-booking and automatically add events to stay organized.
Before you begin
If you signed up for Calendly using your Google email address, your calendar is already connected. To confirm or adjust your settings, visit your Calendar settings page.
Connect your Google calendar
Step 1 – Open your Calendar settings
From your home page:
- In the left sidebar, select Availability.
- At the top of the page, choose Calendar settings.
Step 2 – Select the calendar you'd like to connect
If you haven’t connected a calendar yet:
- Next to Google Calendar, select Connect
If you’ve already connected a calendar:
- Select + Connect Calendar Account
- Choose Google Calendar
You’ll be prompted to sign in to your Google account. Once signed in, you’ll return to your Calendar settings page.
Step 3 – Choose how Calendly uses your calendar
If you have multiple calendars under your Google account, choose which ones Calendly should:
Check for conflicts
- Under Calendars to check for conflicts, select your Google Calendar
- Choose the calendars Calendly should check to avoid double-booking
By default, Calendly will mark you as unavailable during "busy" events on these calendars. Those times won’t appear as available on your scheduling page.
Add new events
- Under Calendar to add events to, choose the calendar where you want Calendly to add scheduled events
You can also manage sync settings here:
- Sync Buffers: When on, buffer times around Calendly meetings appear as events in Google Calendar. Removing a buffer event from Google also removes it from Calendly.
- Sync Cancellations: When on, declining or deleting a Calendly event in Google Calendar cancels it in Calendly. (Changes made by invitees in their own calendars won’t affect Calendly.)
Disable automatic video calls
Google may automatically add video call links to all calendar events. To turn this off:
- Go to your Google Calendar settings
- Find the Event settings section
- Turn off automatic video conferencing
-
