SMS credit limits

To keep text messaging fast and reliable, Calendly limits how many texts (SMS) your team can send.

How many SMS credits do you get?

  • Non-Enterprise plans: 250 SMS credits per seat, per month
    (Example: 1 seat = 250 credits, 3 seats = 750 credits total)

  • Enterprise plans: 1,000 SMS credits per seat, per month

How many credits does a message cost?

The number of credits used depends on where the message is going. Messages cost zero (0), one (1), three (3), or nine (9) credits based on the country.

What happens if you hit your limit?

  • At 90% usage: The org owner gets an email warning.

  • At 100% usage: Texts stop. Calendly sends emails instead.

No communication is lost, but if your invitees expect texts, it’s a good idea to let them know they’ll be getting emails instead.

Credits reset on the 1st of each month at 12 a.m. UTC.

Tips to use fewer credits

  • Send fewer texts per meeting

    • Instead of 2 reminders and a follow-up text, try 1 reminder + 1 follow-up email.

  • Skip texts for big events

    • Use email-only for group or webinar events. Save texts for one-on-one meetings.

  • Need more credits?

    • Add seats to your account to increase your SMS credits per month.
    • Consider upgrading to Enterprise for a bigger, customizable SMS limit.
