Beta
We've improved availability management and the event type editor, now in public beta for select users. If you're in the beta, check out this article to learn more.
Whether you're currently in the beta or not, you'll find the information you need to manage your holiday settings here in this article.
Put meetings on pause during major holidays without having to think about it. Holidays in Calendly automatically block off your availability for country-specific holidays, providing a hassle-free way to respect cultural and personal commitments.
Customize the holidays you observe by modifying the default list, ensuring accurate availability and maintaining a healthy balance.
Beta
Some users still have a 'Time Off' setting from an earlier version, but it will be removed on November 12th. Moving forward, you can easily block specific dates and times using Date-specific hours.
If you've set Time Off, make sure to update your unavailable dates in your Date-specific hours on the Availability page under Default schedule. You can also block the time in your connected calendar.
Edit holidays within Calendly
There are two ways you can edit your holidays within Calendly: at the account level and the event type level.
2. Navigate to your Holidays tab.
3. Confirm your country settings.
You can choose from 10 available countries:
- Australia
- Brazil
- Canada
- France
- Germany
- Mexico
- Netherlands
- Spain
- United Kingdom
- United States
4. Use the On/Off toggle to dictate which holidays you would like to be unavailable/available for.
Toggle On will mark you as unavailable for scheduling on this holiday.
Toggle Off will mark you as available for scheduling on this holiday.
Beta
For users in the beta, your Holiday settings will apply to all of your event types. If you want to offer availability for an event type on a holiday but keep other event types unavailable, you can add Date-specific hours of unavailability to any event type you wish to make unavailable.
1. Select the event type where you are looking to edit your holidays.
2. Open the Scheduling settings section of your event editor.
3. Click into your Available hours that have been assigned.
4. Scroll down until you see your Observed holidays. Select Show.
5. Click on the icon to allow for scheduling on that holiday for your event.
Note: If you are creating a Custom hours schedule within your event editor, you will also be able to to edit your holidays from within the Calendar view of your availability as shown below.
What if a holiday is missing?
If there is a holiday you observe that is not within your Holidays tab or you are looking to block off additional dates within Calendly, you can add add date-specific hours to your Calendly schedule or you can add an all-day busy event to your connected calendar. Within your connected calendar, you can create busy events to remove availability for vacations and time off.
