What can I do with this integration?

You can create Smart Lists, Campaigns, and Programs in Marketo using Calendly triggers for form submissions or event scheduling. Use activity fields to set filters or constraints in your criteria.

Will Calendly create people/leads in Marketo when routing forms are submitted and/or events are scheduled?

No, Calendly will only update activity on people records if the email used in the routing form and/or the meeting matches a people record that already exists in your Marketo account.

What makes this integration better than others?

If you're syncing Calendly event data to Salesforce first and then to Marketo, it can take 7 minutes to an hour. With this integration, Calendly event data flows directly to Marketo instantly after a form submission or event scheduling, so your campaigns can run right away.

Do I have to use routing to take advantage of this integration?

No, you can still take advantage of syncing meeting data to Marketo regardless of if you’re using Calendly routing. Because Calendly Submit Routing Form and Calendly Schedule Event are two separate activities, Calendly will send activity to Marketo any time one of these actions are taken.

How does this impact API calls to Marketo?

Calendly makes two API calls for each activity. When a routing form is submitted, one call checks if the person exists, and the other logs the form submission. For event scheduling, one call checks the email used, and the other logs the scheduled event.

How are Calendly Schedule Event activities logged when multiple people schedule the same group event?

Calendly treats each person scheduling a group event as an individual action, so activities are logged separately. If Person A and Person B book the same group event, one activity is logged for each person.

How are Calendly Schedule Event activities logged when a person schedules a Collective event with multiple Calendly hosts?

A single activity will be logged and the event details will include the name of the Collective event and the host will be the name of the Calendly user’s whose calendar was used to send the invitation.
