Before you begin

Make sure you have:

  • An existing Slack account

For Slack workspace owners or admins:

Installing the Calendly app for Slack enables it for everyone in your workspace, although they will need to connect their individual Calendly accounts.

For other users:

You can install the Calendly app for Slack unless your company or workspace restricts app installation.

Sharinging a Calendly link in Slack

Once you're connected:

Note: The Calendly app for Slack does not currently support sharing Calendly links in Slack threads.

  2. Enter /Calendly in the message box.

  3. Select Share an event type with Calendly.

  4. Choose your event type.

  5. (Optional) Add a custom message.

Note

  • Only Slack workspace owners and admins can delete messages posted by the Calendly app in a channel.
  • You can paste a Calendly link into Slack without using the /Calendly shortcut.
    • If you paste a Calendly link in Slack, but don’t see the meeting details, it may be because your Slack workspace has a setting that affects previews. Admins can update these settings to allow for link previews.

Event notifications

You'll get a message in Slack whenever:

  • A Calendly meeting is scheduled
  • A Calendly meeting is rescheduled
  • A Calendly meeting is cancelled

All updates appear in the Messages tab of the Calendly app in Slack.
