Calendars to check for conflicts
Calendly checks your connected calendar(s) in real-time to prevent scheduling conflicts. Any events marked as busy are hidden from your availability, avoiding double bookings. Only your available times are shown—invitees can't see your full calendar details.
To choose which calendars Calendly checks for conflicts:
- Go to the Calendar settings section of the Availability page.
- Under Calendars to check for conflicts, select Checking X calendar(s).
- Select the calendars and sub-calendars that you want Calendly to check.
- Select Update.
Calendar to add events to
When someone schedules a meeting with you using Calendly, it will automatically be added to the calendar you have selected in the Calendar to add events to section on your Calendar settings page.
To choose which calendars Calendly adds events to:
- Go to the Calendar settings section of the Availability page.
- Under Calendar to add events to, expand the dropdown and select the calendar you want new events added to.
- Events can only be added to one calendar.
- You can choose not to add new events to a calendar.
Sync settings
Buffers
To make buffers visible, you can sync them with your connected calendar. When enabled, your Calendly buffers will show on both your calendar and your Calendly Meetings page. Here's how to enable this feature:
- Find the Sync settings section in your Calendar settings.
- Select
Include buffers on this calendar.
Deleting or declining
To make canceling events easier, you can cancel a Calendly event directly from your connected calendar. Here’s how to enable this feature:
- Find the Sync settings section in your Calendar settings.
- Select
Deleting or declining an event in your calendar will also cancel it in Calendly.
With this setting on, any Calendly event you decline or delete from your calendar will be canceled in Calendly. Note: If an invitee cancels or deletes the event on their calendar, it won’t be canceled in Calendly.
