I've been using Calendly for a few years, and am generally happy with it. But in the last week, two people didn't show for meetings! I didn't understand how that could be, but in looking through things I realized that they had never gotten any reminder notifications.
Turns out that those reminders aren't on by default -- you need to set them, manually, for each event type you have.
I've now added the reminders, and I'm glad that they exist. But given that the blog suggests that we have them, it's a bit surprising that they're off by default, and that there isn't any warning or suggestion that we can turn them on. Please consider adding such a warning/reminder.
