Someone used my Calendly to book a few weeks in advance. the event type had a zoom call as a location (no zoom integration, just typed in as custom. Before the meeting, I got a new zoom pmi. I updated the participant on the new location by editing the location in google calendar and afaik, that updated on the user's calendar as well. I also updated my meeting type (45min zoom call) to always use the new location
However, today they got a reminder for the meeting sent from you and the reminder had the old location in it. I went to my "scheduled events" tab in Calendly and see that the event still has the old location. I was unable to edit the location. I could edit event type, but when I went to do so, it showed the new zoom location.
I realize there is some ambiguity on what the right behavior for Calendly is in this situation. Maybe I really wanted to keep the original location for this one meeting. Maybe when I updated my event type definition I wanted it to flow through to all events including those already scheduled (that is what I would have preferred).
So, I would imagine, when a user edits an event type, and there are already scheduled instances of that type, you might prompt with "you just changed location for this event type. you have (3) meetings currently scheduled with a different location. Do you want to change location for the scheduled events and notify participants, or keep the existing location for those meetings." something like that.
