Thank you for your comments and engagement on this post! We know that you need a solution for recurring events, and we are currently researching what that solution could look like in a way that meets the majority of your expectations. In order to do this, it’s important that we understand who you are and what recurring events mean to you. Could you please fill out this survey to give us some more insight? For those who agree to it, we may also reach out to some of you individually to learn more in the coming weeks. In the meantime, check back here for updates as they become available.

    Hi Elliot,

Thank you for submitting this idea! While I don’t have a target date on when we will offer recurring events, I can share your suggestions with the team to discuss further.

    Best,

    Hi Hannah,

Looking through the Suggestions/Ideas I can see that people have been asking for Recurring events for over 2 Years. Just wondering how long it takes and how many times does it take for people to ask before the "team" to listen and respond? Certainly not encouraging to consider upgrading to a paid account if the app is not really being supported.

This feature would be great, and like Mike, I can see that people have been asking for this for around 3 years.
In fact, Hannah, your colleague responded to another person around two years ago with pretty much the same message, she said it was on your team's radar- surely there is an update on this now?

    Kind regards,

    Tom

Did you know if you collected $12 each month for 12 months from 25,000 users you would get $3,600,000? Now multiply that for 3 years, you would get $10,800,000

So where exactly are our payments going?

Just wondering because I know you guys definitely have way more users than 25k...

Elliot's suggestion is exactly what I need for my business as a coach. Right now, I have clients pay for their package when booking their first session, but then need to use a separate event, multiple times, to book all the sessions that are included in their package.

It would work much smoother if a client could purchase their package and book all their sessions for the next month at once, with the option to reschedule as needed should things come up! That way I wouldn't have to keep track of their separate bookings.

I see lots of folks are asking for this, but wanted to add my voice. This would really bring Calendly's service to the next level, and pretty much be spot on with meeting all my needs as an individual service provider.

    Many thanks!

I am currently using square appointments for this. Once calendly gets it, I can move all of my clients to one platform

Tiffany, are you using Calendly too?

Does Square Appointments also send out automatic reminders via text and/or email like Calendly?

Sharon, yes it has pretty much all the same features. I just think calendly is more visually appealing so I like it better. I am just keeping my recurring appointments on Square. They both connect to my google calendar so there is no fear of double booking. I hope that helps!

Recurring events seems to be a fairly basic part of a scheduling system. I believe we are all kindly requesting that you do this as soon as possible. It would be a very helpful feature. Thank you!

I'll add my voice for this too. I would love a recurring event option that would allow my clients to book several weeks in a row but pay right before their booked session when they confirm.

    thank you

All I need to take my company's tutor scheduling platform completely into Calendly is the ability to set up recurring events or event "packages." I agree with the comments above. This should be offered as soon as possible; I think it would be a great and very valuable feature.

Yes, I need this feature, it is the main reason I bought Calendly. My clients apply for yoga classes once a week for a whole term. But now they can only click in one date at a time....

Thank you for letting us know if this will be available soon

Adding my vote for this feature. I offer packages, a discount for booking/paying for multiple sessions in advance.  However, Calendly doesn't have the capability.  Most people don't want to waste their time re-entering their info over & over.  Would really appreciate this feature being added.

Hey guys, just a thought of a possible work around, if you have Calendly linked to your Google calendar all you have to do is edit the event in your Google calendar and make it repeat and you are done!    Blessings

I am adding my vote for this repeating function.  This has been requested for over 3 years it looks like, and I am surprised because it doesn't seem to be that big of a request.  But super important to many people who love your calendar system and don't want to move to another.

I want to use this function in this way:  I run a 6-week online course. The dates and times are set for the entire class. I want them to sign in one time to the series and have the text function remind them for each class. I am paying $15 a month to have this text reminder function and when it is most important, it is not possible.

Most people will not understand why they have to waste time filling in the same form 6 times just to get it and they don't do it, or they only do some of them and then get mad that they didn't get the reminder that I promised them.

Yes, you can create an event in Google, but then if I use that I really don't need to pay for Calendly. And since everyone uses their phones and don't look at emails all the time that as a reminder is not as powerful as a text.

The text reminder function is the only reason I am using a paid version of calendly.

Please add this function ASAP!! 3 years is too long to wait.

Many of us cannot us this service because you don't have a very simple recurring option. My guess is that you are losing thousands of customers as a result. Not sure what you're reason for that is. Your competitors have it together.

I get notified when there are comments on this thread, so I must have gave my vote at some time.

I've read many of the suggestions here, but I do wonder how this feature can work, technically speaking. The blessing of Calendly is that I don't get overbooked. If there's an appointment on my calendar, then no one can schedule that time.

For recurring appointments, someone would be very hard-pressed to schedule six sessions at the same time each week, or month. For example, my client wants Tuesday mornings at 10 AM, for six weeks. To get six weeks in a row, they'd have to go out several months and that's not the impression I want to leave with my clients.

Alternatively, Calendly would have to begin a negotiating process (which is what we avoid now). The client tries to schedule Tuesday mornings at 10 AM for six weeks and there are blocks. Do we set up rules in advance:

    •  if there's only one (2, 3..??) blocks, notify me and I'll see if I can adjust the blocked appointment
    •  If there's only one (2, 3...?? ) blocks, simply jump over these blocks and six calendar weeks of work becomes six plus #of-blocks.
How do the competing scheduling products implement this feature?

Looking forward to being able to schedule paid, recurring coaching sessions for my students.

Completed the survey as well.  This feature would be immensely helpful for me trying to get customers to sign up for a reoccurring monthly check-in meetings.

Count me in for this request.. My clients book for weekly class for their children. Often, they have 2-3 or more children. It would be tedious and frustrating to book classes for multiple children for every event. Recurring option would really be helpful. Thank you.

    Hi there,
another KUMON Instructor here (Math after school classes)

My KUMON parents enroll their children on a weekly basis (e.g. Wed at 14.00 and Fri at 16.00).
Clearly, I cannot ask them to book again and again, week after week, the same lesson; a recurring booking (i.e. the possibility to create recurring events, to be booked by the parents once for all) is really indispensable.
Also, I would need the possibility for a parent to cancel a single event (and not the whole booking), like in any Google or Outlook Calendar.

Given its name, I assumed that Calendly offered already this feature, I'd gladly pay a premium subscription if the feature is available in short, for the moment I cannot use Calendly and I will have to look at other viable alternatives.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Hi I'm a paid pro account. I work as a coach and need recurring events to schedule meetings with my clients. It's hard to believe this feature is not avail yet. Any news on its rollout? Thanks!

I just signed up and went straight to the most expensive option for exactly one reason: automated day-of text message reminders 1 hour prior to my online show every Tue & Sat. It honestly hadn't occurred to me that support for recurring events could be a "feature" that's still in the works. Recurring automated texts will save us a stressful pre-show hour twice a week, so unfortunately this is a deal-breaker. I'm sure it must be difficult to do for some computery reasons I don't know about. But...emotionally, this feels I bought a new bike only to find out the next version might have round wheels available for an upcharge.

Aside from my subscription $, it's worth noting that the service my company provides is connecting large numbers of specific people to literally anything that's likely to improve their life. Calendly WAS a perfect candidate! My user experience had been otherwise absolutely stellar. Nearly everyone I've shared my link with so far has been 1) New to Calendly, and 2) So impressed as to ask me about it. This level of brand enthusiasm is rare in my audience, thus exactly the kind of thing I like to feature.

My next step is to fill out the survey, which I hope everyone else does too. Please do call if I can help beyond that. Then please lock about 85 geniuses in a room until they figure this out. Just give them bathroom breaks and keep the pizza and Mountain Dew flowing.
