I teach English online and it's common for students to cancel a reservation. One site I teach on, does NOT allow us (the teachers OR the students) to cancel a reservation under 12 hours! We have to wait until the lesson begins and then submit a reschedule request.
As a result, this calendar entry (that is not needed) remains in Google Calendar and thus remains on Calendly since it's integrated with Google Calendar together, which means even if a student informs me that he/she will "not be present" for the reservation, the time slot will show up as "still" unavailable for a booking on Calendly since I am not the owner of the event (the teaching company is) and therefore I cannot cancel or edit it in Google Calendar.
I am aware of the Calendly for Chrome adhoc meeting extension; however, that will not work in my situation. The Chrome adhoc meeting extension simply "creates a link" that we have to send out via email, or through some other method, to a specific person. On my personal freelance-teaching dot com website, my Calendly calendar is embedded into the website allowing students to book, so being that my students independently book reservations on their own, through my website, they will browse my calendar for availability and book only times that are listed as available, right? Yes.
I am in this situation because the teaching company, is the "owner" of the event, and I cannot edit or delete it in any way from Google Calendar. Only the owner can remove it. Please add an "override" feature on Calendly so that I can go into the Calendly and input a time slot as available so that the Calendly calendar knows that time slot is actually available regardless of what Google Calendar says.
