I am coming to Calendly from a different tool which had a feature called on duty events. Many other competing tools offer a similar feature. I am trying to replicate this functionality in Calendly, but unable to do so and hoping someone could lend a hand, or explain why this can't be done here.
Right now Calendly seems to want to select all times during my available work day when I don't have an event where I am marked as Busy/Out Of Office/etc. I would instead like to setup specific events in my calendar where I am marked as "Free" and have Calendly make only those events available for bookings. I am using the Office 365 integration.
My use case
I am a teacher. I have my weekly calendar blocked out with my classes marked as "Busy", but want to allow for my students to use Calendly to book meetings with my each week as needed. However, I don't want to make all my non-class time available for student meetings, but only certain blocks of time which I've put into my calendar as "Office Hours", but these hours fluctuate week to week. I have other blocks of time in my calendar that I need to keep available for meeting with supervisors, colleagues, industry, etc.
I need to be able to create events called "Office Hours" and mark my availability as "Free", so I can create/edit/delete these times from my Outlook calendar, and have these as the only times in my calendar that are available to students to book.
