    Hello all,

Thanks for all the great feedback about this very popular request. While I don’t have a target date on when we will support this feature, I can say that we are actively investigating this problem.

    Best,
    Hannah at Calendly

I'd like to second this. It'd be great for me to be able to go in and make appts using Calendly that don't align with the rules/restrictions for a specific event type.

I'd like to add to this. It is really difficult with the current system to be flexible within Calendly. There are times when we want to bend the rules for specific circumstances. However apart from changing the rules for the whole event, there is no easy way to do this.

Please add the admin override function.

I couldn't agree more! I often need to alter an appointment, extend time, or location. Many of my clients specify details after they make the appointment, or my firm needs to make a change from one type of event to another. Admin should be able to edit all appointment fields from the Dashboard.

100% needed feature, it's so frustrating to have to go around the system to deal with unique cases that don't follow the rules --- the rules are there to create a good schedule but there's always going to be things that don't work inside that.

One way as Tracy mentioned might be to have a way to move an appointment from one Event type to another or just having a way to toggle off the restrictions but still show the rules outlined the way they are but ask you if you want to override the rules for this booking.

This is big enough of an issue that I'll be looking around at other options at this point, it comes up often enough.

Yes, this is exactly what I am looking for! It is frustrating to have to modify my availability just to accommodate the occasional appointment outside of normal hours. Would love to have an option on the admin dashboard to schedule an appointment without the rules applying.

Additionally, sometimes I block time off on my Google calendar to hold a spot for a client. Of course that removes the block of time from Calendly. So then I have to go back to Google, delete it, and then back to Calendly to finally schedule it. This feature would save a lot of time and back and forth.

I'm considering other options because of the lack of this option. Incredibly frustrating and makes me use outlook outside of this which we don't want to do

I don’t want to be a jerk about this. But, I’m leaving without it. I’m a relatively happy customer, but this is too simple a change to not do, and frankly there are other options out there.

Adding my two cents. This is needed sooo badly! Please let us know if you have an update. It might be worth switching things up for me as well if a competitor can accomplish this.  Right now I am having to amend the event itself and put the date in and then change it back before anyone else books that slot.

It’s been a year. I’m not waiting anymore. It’s a shame because in general I’ve had a good experience and the price is right, but this should have happened a long time ago and there is no indication it’s coming. I’m canceling today.

I need this NOW. Because it's so hard to reschedule client events around my busy calendar (where I have things blocked off so I can get some work done and buffers in place so people can't put me into back-to-back meetings without my approval) I end up manually rescheduling it in my calendar. This updates the event for the person, but it doesn't update it in Calendly, so the person ends up getting a bunch of incorrect alerts. The best solution for me is to cancel the Calendly event and set it up manually. But that sends alerts too! Very confusing to the people I'm trying to meet with! PLEASE FIX

PS-I spent about 2 hours explaining this last year to a Calendly product person and was under the impression it would be fixed soon. What's taking so long!

Agree - this is a reason why I am using Eventbrite NOT Calendly to set reminders for people to visit our booth at a tradeshow.

These comments were made OVER 1yr ago, why is this not a feature yet?

Please provide this feature, there are cases where I have a client book an event with a large pre-buffer that I decide later I don't need. This feature would allow me to manually open the effected slots.

In order to resolve this under the current system, I have to change the the event buffer and reschedule my client for their same timeslot, giving them new notifications in the process. Looks very unprofessional.

Asked for this over a year ago, no updates. Going to look into alternatives as it is causing major headaches and preventing us from rolling out all the events we wish to.

Yeah. Time to move. No recurring events either. Not aligned with how new businesses are setting themselves up

Yes please!  I know my schedule - sometimes I want to squeeze something in and I want the email sequence to go with it - not to make an adhoc appointment!

Do we have any further ETA on this feature? It's making it very difficult to re-schedule clients during my non standard times. I should have to create a new event or completely change the availability rules to squeeze a client in.

I agree, this needs to be added.  Fitting in an appointment with a client is a must.

Yes! Sadly I simply use google email and calendar because Calendly doesn’t work at all if the rules don’t allow it. 😭

It has been YEARS and this remains unresolved. We moved on to alternatives. If it's mission-critical, as it was for us, time to find an alternative. They have shown no interest in addressing this basic issue.
