    Hello all,

Thanks for all the great feedback about this very popular request. We’ve found that manual confirmation only increases the steps you have to take to get meetings. Not having to confirm, deny or reschedule a booking eliminates the email back-and-forth of scheduling.

To help you maintain control, we’ve provided a ton of availability setting options so you don’t have to worry about confirming. When you set your desired availability, the only options invitees have are the time slots that you’re truly prepared for.

Others have been successful by using Single Use Links with our Calendly for Chrome extension or changing how they share their link to manage abuse to their calendar.

    Hannah,

I completely agree with MAGI Web Design's request for "An option to toggle "automatic booking" or "requires confirmation by calendar user".

Our company uses calendly to allow our website visitors to schedule initial consultations and software demonstrations, but lately we have been flooded with automatic appointments from random job applicants scheduling interviews.

Perhaps there are creative solutions to this that I am not aware of, and I appreciate your effort to describe workarounds in the previous message.

However, I think giving Calendly users control over meeting approval is an essential improvement for the software.

Agreed. The option for request-approval would be helpful. Calendly still offers a great deal of value irrespective of whether it is optimizing every possible step in the process.

Adding the "option" the require my side of approval, is not making it harder by any way.

I do have slots I'd be okay to have automatic confirmation, but "need" some kind of appointments that would require approval.

    Please reconsider.

    Thanks

Hi - I'd love to be able to confirm time selections that my clients choose before they are confirmed. If calendly could build in an option to have the time slot chose sent back to the sender for the sender to approve, before the meeting is confirmed, it would be awesome!

I'd also like the option to approve the appointment request before it's confirmed. This seems like a pretty basic feature to have left out.

This really needs to be fixed. The auto-accept features are creating absolute havoc for me. What really frustrates me is that Calendly refuses to fix these basic asks. Also telling me that this "adds extra steps" is hogwash. I already have to "add extra steps" by adjusting my availability in my calendar to prevent mis-scheduling or people scheduling just because it says I'm free.

I am not paying for this service next year. I'll be going back to Google Calendars until they do.
