    Hi all -

Thank you for submitting this idea! While I don't have a target date on when we will offer the ability to change an event type from one kind to another, I can share your suggestions with the team to discuss further.

    Best,

    Hannah at Calendly

Yes! Agreed. Same issue. I set up the individual meeting first. Then, realized I couldn't clone it to create an identical group version. Once set, it does not appear to be editable. This makes creating appointment types really clunky. Lots of work.

Very frustrating!!! Yes, I needed to change a one-on-one event and I could not. It was a monthly event with multiple time slots so it will take several hours to re-create everything form scratch

If the functionality isn’t there. To copy a one on one to Group Maybe a pop up warning would help during the event type selection phase. But yes the same thing just happen to me also.

Same here.  If I create a new group event do I have to re-invite ALL of the participants?  I have 25 scheduled individually that I need to consolidate, but I am afraid to disrupt all of the participants by resending an invite

As a work around could you allow this text field to accept 1 user, This way you wouldn't even need to specify you could just have a meeting and pick the maximum amount of people.

Exact same issue! This is must for this type of software since there is no obvious explanation of the difference between the two. Please update, or at the very least, add a more descriptive explanation that distinguishes the two. Other than that, I love Calendly!

same here! If you create a new event, then old events created in group or individual mode are available again for the new event you created!

    Same here, very important!

If the event is already active (and registration link has been sent out), I need to be able to change the existing one.

No problem creating a group event except I want the same link as before

Same issue, I agree with the comment that you should just offer one option (Group event), with a default of Max participants of "1". In case one needs to invite more than that they can change that to a larger number.

I hope Calendly is listening. How difficult would it be to change the default setting on max number of attendees to 1? That would solve the issue. Get on it, Calendly. This should be an easy fix for you guys.

I spent hours working on this before I knew that it was a group event and yes this is hugely frustrating that we can't change this. Grrrrr!!

Even if there was an option in the Cloning of events to switch from Group to One-on-One it would be helpful than just having to create a whole new option.  There are certain settings in the One-on-One that aren't available in the group, so just changing the number to "1" in the group would not work as well.

Just ran into this.  Had to recreate everything from scratch.  Most annoying.

Please do fix this.  It's extremely irritating.  Or at least post a warning for new users suggesting that they create a group of 1 if they anticipate possibly needing to change the nature of the event from a one-on-one to a group.

I have the same issue. However, I did find a work around.  After the first person was scheduled I was able to go to "Scheduled Events" and then changed then changed the invitee limit to 1.  Not ideal but works for now.
