Thanks for sharing this idea. We are looking into a number of ways to implement more flexible scheduling options and it's interesting to hear you use case for needing this. In the meantime, feel free to check out our Teams features, as that provides the ability to create events that overlap.

I also need to be able to have overlapping events. Was this issue resolved for you?

We need this, as well! We allow people to sign up for 1 hour, 2 hour or 3 hour spots for the same event, so they have to be created as 3 separate "event types". However, they are for the same event, so we need them to be able to overlap.

Did anyone answer this at all? This is exactly what I need to achieve.

I've got several events scheduled together for people to book and once an appointment has been booked one one event the slot disappears on all of them.

    Hi All,

I contacted customer service and they provided the below note. * Note below is from 2/15/17 *

"Calendly considers each account as an individual, so it does not allow overlapping events. A person cannot be two places at once!

If you would like to schedule two events at once, you will need to create a second account."

When setting up my initial account this was not clear. You would think a note would pop up informing you before the link went live....

I have since added a user (and paid for the additional account) in order to have the overlapping events.

    Hope that helps!

We are trying to use this as a head counter to schedule for the same events: for example, I need to limit the number of CPAs attending to 15 and the number of "others" to 10. This is for the same event that can have a total of 25 people in it.

I don't need to be two places at once, but I need people to be able to sign up under two criteria settings. I would prefer this to be in one "event" but there is not an option for headcount/criteria factors.

    My thought for enhancement:

Please select your type (*Required field):

    CPA [radio button]

    Non-CPA [radio button]

    IN SETTINGS:

    Max number of CPAs

    [count box]

    Max number of Non-CPAs

    [count box]

    [calculated field: total max number]

I schedule group events and need to be able to overlap them otherwise I cannot continue to use calendly. It's useless to me without this function.

This is a really important function to be able to use.

I need to book some coaching sessions that overlap.

Each timeslot of 1.5 hours includes a 30 min meeting with person 1, followed by a 60 min meeting with person 2. The overlap comes as person 1 commences the next meeting 30 mins prior to the end of the meeting with person 2.

Sadly I have been unable to use Calendly to achieve this and have had to look elsewhere.

Agreed. Customer support is terrible, as is development.

    Check this - https://help.calendly.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360033325334-I-want-to-be-able-to-double-book-

It helped me to solve that exact problem.

Group events allow multiple invitees for the same time slot!!!!

    Life saver!

    Hope this helps :)

I run a drop-in self-paced learning center for kids and can have up to 8 kids in our facility at any time.  Once someone books 10am for an hour, 10am is the only time that can be booked with up to 8 kids until 11am as no overlaps are allowed so my customers book at 10am and 11am and think they cannot come in at any time in between - yet they physically can - they just can't schedule it on Calendly.   I would rather stagger every 15 minutes as it makes it easier to set each child up without a big turnover every hour but Calendly does not allow this and  I NEED  to have overlapping appointments.  Seems like Calendly is not keen on adding this feature as I think it will screw up their core scheduling rules.  I am going to have to write my own mobile scheduling app. It is actually a great opportunity to solve a much-needed problem based on the comments above.
