    Hi,

Thanks for submitting this idea. Currently you can limit the number of people per time slot (group event types) or you can set the maximum number of bookings per day, but not the total number of bookings for an event type. We can consider it on our roadmap, though!

Any update on this? This would be considered essential for my team. We have strict limits on the number people we can invite to an event and managing this is the #1 reason we're looking at SaaS solutions.

We are looking to cap the number of a specific event type on a weekly basis rather than a daily basis. We provide clients with 8 pre-defined meeting slots each week but want to limit it to a max of 5 of the type 2 event type each week....still allowing clients to select the remaining open slots for a type 1 event. Hope this makes sense.

I would love to see this feature. I conduct customer research interviews and my clients will pay for a certain number of interviews. It would be nice to have that limit reflected in my calendar so that I don't have to manually shut off an event when the max number of bookings has been reached.

I would move our whole team to Calendly in a second if we could have this feature. We book user research sessions, and we want to provide many open slots for participants but we can only take a certain number of bookings per event - otherwise we have to cancel people - not a good look.

So we would like to be able to specify a maximum number of bookings per event, and have the form appear closed with a message to tell the user we have all the bookings we need for this occasion.

Ideally, we would be able to clear the booking limit so we can use the event again a few weeks later for another round of bookings, without having to make a new event.

I agree with all other comments here. It would be very useful to be able to limit the total number of appointments per interview type. I went to an event with several UX and market research experts, and scheduling tools came up. Many people felt it would only be useful if you could limit the total number of appointments per event type, as we typically deal with incentives and target numbers for the duration of a study, and not just one day. It is very strange to me that Calendly is not interested in cornering the market for this use case.

Would love to see this feature - I'm also a UX Researcher, and need to be able to limit certain types of users. I would like to have multiple events per type of user over the duration of my study. Calendly would be perfect for my team if it had this feature! Super sad to see that it doesn't exist.

Yes please! I am using this to book interviews with clients - I typically invite 70-100 people to fill 8-10 spots. I see there's a way to limit the number of bookings per day, but would love to see a way to limit total number of bookings per event.

I'm also a user researcher and need this feature.

Is there any update on this?

A basic roadmap would be nice to see

Yes, I'm also a user researcher. We have to manually monitor how many people have set up an appointment and then manually shut it off (without any messaging) when we have reached a limit. I suggest that the Calendly look at the user/market research use case to see how our needs are different: set # of bookings per event and then a "Sorry, we've have all participants we need for this study." message when it is full.

I second this.  It would be really nice to be able to limit the sessions per week.

We have a sales team and would like to be able to not only spread out appointments evenly, but limit the number per week.

I'd also like to be able to limit the number of sessions per week. I run office hours, but I'm only able to do two sessions per week. I'd like to be able to open up my calendar on a first-come-first-serve basis, but that doesn't work with the current options in calendly.

I'm trying to allow candidates to book timeslots, i think the group booking is the best option.  Specifically, I am setting up an event from 11-2pm, and every 30 minutes i want to allow up to 10 people to book.  Is that possible?

I'm also looking for a way to cap the number of events people can book. It looks like this ask is about two years old; any updates?

I'm exploring other options because I need the ability to limit appointment types on a weekly basis. if Calendly could add this feature, there would be no reason to look anywhere else.

Why still no movement on this? Should be a simple enough feature to implement.  I love the simplicity of the Calendly UI, but I will leave if a competitor builds it.

@Aaron Wright - how do you do this in youcanbook.me? I just signed up but don't see the option there either.

I reeeeally need this feature, as well! Example: sending email to people that I'm opening up a limited number of "discovery calls." first come, first served. Sending to a list of a few hundred, but can only take on SEVEN calls over a specific time period. So, is this going to be a feature anytime soon???

This looks like a feature already but does not work???

    https://help.calendly.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003686053-Manage-advanced-availability-rules#2

I set the limit to 4 or whatever number, but Calendly shows all available time slots???

    Please fix.

@Adrian : that's a different feature. Your availability won't change, but this just means that once your daily limit of bookings is reached, all other slots will disable themselves for that day.

The feature being asked for is this, but for the entire event: "Let them book me on Thursdays between noon and 4pm, but stop allowing bookings when I've got 10."

I am also a UX researcher and need to limit the number of bookings per event!  Has this been implemented yet?  It would be very easy from a dev perspective.

Please prioritize this feature. This would make the booking process so much more efficient for my fellow researchers and me.

Just adding my name to the list of people who would like this feature to exist! I want to have a number of pre-determined time slots open per day to allow flexibility for my participants, but only need 8-10 participants. Knowing that Calendly could handle this automatically and take users to a "This event is closed page (that allows for some custom text) would meet my needs perfectly.

This is a great tool, but from the look of these comments, it could be even better for a lot of people with this addition! Thanks!

I commented on this three years ago requesting this feature, and still get email updates when other folks request it. My entire team and I have now moved to other platforms because Calendly did not support this. I wish that Calendly would implement it, or at least update their response from four years ago - it would be great to know whether they ever plan to address this.

UX Researcher here. Can't believe this was 4 years ago and nothing has been done or addressed about it. As a UX Researcher, it's ironically funny. It feels Market/UX Researcher needs aren't as important..

I'm sure we're just a very tiny portion of their revenue, booking occasional appointments vs. salons and such booking oodles every day ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
