This has been completed. You can now validate phone numbers by choosing "Phone number" as the answer type for any custom question. Check it out here.

    Hi Adam,

Thanks for submitting this idea! We can consider it in some of our custom questions improvements.

+1 for phone field validation! I have a lot of trouble getting people to write down the country code and have to search for it or send out an email thus creating frustration on both ends as it delays the meeting.

+1 for this. For now I'm using Zapier's Formatter + Zapier's Webooks with numverify.com to validate after an event has been created, and emailing the contact if the phone number isn't valid.

Yes, I completely agree. Phone # needs to be a critical custom field.

mandatory. When new appointments are being made we're missing key information on the Calendar side: Phone Number, Location, Notes/Details. It's pushing me to find new service options

I have had a few last minute scheduling and am missing the customer's phone number. Email takes too long. Can you please add a field for phone numbers for us?

This tool cannot be seriously considered without asking for phone number. Maybe your time is free, but ours is precious, we need to call and confirm or plan for last minute issues.

Without the phone number field it is a last minute scramble and 90% of my meetings have been late through this app... I love the idea, but it has a ways to go... .50% of the issues will be solved with a phone entry....

+1 Just a simple dropdown with country code like below. In this implementation the country code auto-detects based on geo.

@Felix Hu Has this feature been added your future updates? You mentioned a year and a half ago that this is considered.

Bummed....Scheduling an appointment without a phone number makes this system unusable for us.
Please let us know if this critical field is coming soon. Thank you

Yeah I can't believe they don't ask for phone number standard. I'm going to move on.

+1 @Source Protection. People have to follow up with their email or we have to text / email during...you're not solving the complete pain yet.

    Hey all -

Providing a standard phone number field (with all validations that should be included with a phone number field) is on our radar. In the meantime, you can add this yourself as a custom question.

While the field won't be validated, you'll still be able to collect this critical information for the people you're meeting with. Here's how to add a phone number field to your event type.

Thanks Amanda, that is really helpful. For those who are looking for that area, you need to login. Then go to EVENT TYPES in the main menu. Click on the gear tab on your calendar type and click EDIT. You should see the INVITEE QUESTIONS where you can add questions, including making them required.

Hmmm. Yes, I agree, how can you have only have a freestyle field with no way to limit characters or format for a phone number? I predict lots of lots of human input errors!

It's insane that you do not have phone number formatting or geo autodetect...

Isn't this software supposed to reduce friction and automate the online booking process?

What happens when an international prospect books and I have no idea what their dialling code is?

Please help. The phone number field is not working. It keeps saying that the Format is not recognised. Please help asap as we have recently decided to use Calendly and depend on this being fixed for it to be useful.

We are seeing the same issue where the phone number field is throwing intermittent error saying that the "Format is not recognised". At other times it works fine. Is there a solution for this?
