    Hello all,

Thanks for all the great feedback about this very popular request. While I don't have a target date on when we will support this feature, I can say that we are actively investigating this problem.

For now, many users are successful by going to their link and entering their invitee's details instead of their own. If you would like to override your availability settings, users have used our Calendly for Chrome ad hoc feature as seen here.

If you have further questions, please contact support@calendly.com.

    Best,

    Hannah at Calendly

    Hi Julie,

Thank you for submitting this question and idea. There currently isn't a way to schedule an appointment for a client within the Calendly platform. All bookings must be created from an event type's link.

i second that. pleeeease let us do this from the dashboard, where we can "duplicate" events e.g. transfer ALL data from one event to the next.

we schedule up to 4 events per customer through calendly, most of them via phone. this would be amaaaaazing.

also being able to force an event even though it wouldnt be available.

I vote for this feature. In conversation with a client a new date will come up as it did for me this evening. I would have liked to schedule the next session so the confirmation would go to the client and subsequent reminders of the appointment as well.

Thanks for sharing your use cases! We are evaluating a number of ways to improve the functionality from your Calendly dashboard, so it's helpful to hear your ideas. Will share with the product team.

I need this feature too. Because many appts will be set up via conversation between me and my clients, so it would be so much easier for me to go in and book them. Esp since I would have to go in an manually remove my availability for that slot anyway. Its very possible Calendly will not work for my needs, but I'd never know without being able to try it out first. So I do appreciate the trial period as well as the opportunity to give feedback. Thank you.

I'm on this bandwagon as well. Please allow me to schedule for my clients within the program. I'd be grateful and more willing to stay on a paying customer.

    Thanks.

I'm considering canceling my membership without this feature.  Shame I really did like this platform.

We simply just enter the client's information when booking over the phone. So its like the client is booking.

You can directly book for your clients by going into the public view, clicking on the appointment, and then entering their name and email address. It is just like they did it themselves!

I believe the desired feature is to simply go to dashboard, select an EXISTING appointment and copy the data into a new event instead of having to C&P everything one by one. Similar to the new RESCHEDULE feature from within Dashboard.

I also need this feature - particularly when my schedule shows blocked to the public, but I know I can schedule something, so I'd like an override.

This seems like it should be a basic feature of the software.  I need to schedule appointments for my clients often.

A very important feature, for sure. It's very cumbersome, at times, to be on the phone with a new client and agree on a time and then having to ask them to go in and book it themselves. I'm surprised this has been requested for two years and nothing has been done about it

I also really need this! It should also have the ability to override my availability. For instance, if I'm on the phone with a client and need to schedule something during a time that's blocked off, I shouldn't have to go and change my calendar, go into Calendly and change my availability, then have them go schedule the appointment. TOO MUCH WORK!  Plus, then someone else can sneak in and get that appointment that I've made open - and don't want anyone else to see. I need to be able to make an appointment for a client on my own and whenever I want to.

    Thank you

This would be such a great addition to Calendly as there are times non-tech savy users are not willing to schedule an event and therefore asked to do it on their behalf. Further to this, being able to specify the client's timezone/localisation settings in order timezones are correct for meetings / calls etc.

Sometimes I want to make space for a client in a blocked time that I'd like to make an exception for. So I  have to adjust all my settings, rules for time buffers, open up the blocked time, just so that i can go in as a client would to then find the time opening and book. Booking through the client portal requires me to answer client questions (that I set up to gather client info when a new client books), which takes even more time.

Please add a Calendly feature that allows me to book client sessions myself from within my own account, so that I won't have to do all of these additional steps and I will save time each day!

In reply to SK Enterprises ... I could enter my client's email address as well, however, I have specific questions to prep for a call that I need the client to answer. So a wish item would be that the email (once appt is made on behalf of the client) goes to them to confirm it with the customized questions page. For those of us that use that feature.

And, when the situation arises I would like to schedule during a blocked time. I agree with that point as well from others above.
