    One time access code is also interesting, but that doesn't stop them from hitting my other events.

    Was going to suggest something similar! As a recruiter, I love to use Calendly for phone interviews, but candidates sometimes take license to schedule themselves without notice; and sometimes after rejections. A bit awkward!

    I upvoted this, it would help us tremendously.  We are having issues with abuse and will probably have to move away from calendly if we don't get something like this soon.  Thanks for taking feedback!

    Hi

    we use calndly to let our users book training calls. We would like to avoid the possibility that users book with us more than one event at the time, so they may be able to book a new one only after the first one occurred. For example, we would like to avoid people booking 3 Mondays at 3:00 pm in a row, when maybe only the first call is needed.

    That's our use case,hope it helps :)

    I'll second this request. In certain industries, giving people unfettered access to your calendar is a non-starter. I really need a link that expires after it is used, for this to be usable.

    I believe some level of security is really needed. I work as recruiter and I must say I'm a bit afraid of some unhappy (for whatever reason) candidate who gets the idea of filling my calendar with fake entries that block it completely and I have no idea which of them are actual people willing to discuss opportunities I can offer and which one are simply fakes. Scary...

    What I'm planning to do (as not really convenient workaround) is to create a page with Calendly widget (so hiding actual link to my Calendly) and regularly change address of this page (e.g. provide the link to www.mydomain.com/meeting382934 and after a week change to www.mydomain.com/meeting352621). This will however work only if you are only sending this to potential invitees, if someone wants to use Calendly on public website, this is obviously not working at all...

    I think there are four solutions to restrict access smartly:

    1. Adding reCaptcha to the form - will work well against bots and will make spammer attack a bit more time-consuming but still possible

    2. Blacklisting certain emails - needs manual intervention to add to blacklist, will not work if the attack is done quickly or using several fake/random email addresses

    3. Limiting number of events that can be scheduled in certain period per email address - will stop quick attack but still will not stop if someone uses fake/random email addresses...

    4. Point 3 +adding OTP to be send to email/phone - will I believe make the attack really hard (one need to set up several real addresses +keep access to them to receive a code per each booking, it will last forever to fill a calendar with fake entries in this case)

     

    Would love to see some development here!

    This feature is important to me as well as the others here. I am having people overuse links, and also share the links with others who should not get it. Vote yes to implement!

    I can't make my event types "secret" as I welcome newcomers as well as past clients to schedule an appointment with me on my website. 

    My idea is that we as admin should have capacity to "automatically" reject an email or a phone number if this person on my blacklist attempts to schedule again.

    Wow.  I did not know I was giving recipients access to my calendar for infinity and beyond!   Totally unacceptable.  The link either needs to be for a one time use or a user set expiration.  I am now going to have to re-think my use of calendly untll this is resolved.   And unfortunately, inform those who I have encouraged to sign up for the app as well.  Bummer.

    I agree. I would like a way to blacklist / block someone from being able to access my calendar. Especially as a recruiter it is really inconvenient if someone keeps signing up after you've rejected them!

    I am not sure this product is useful to me without a one-time URL that I can send to clients. I can't allow unlimited scheduling on my calendar with every client.

    Just going to piggy back on everyone else's comments here. We schedule implementation calls and introductory phone calls with this tool and its great but sometimes people re use our links to get additional calls and it drives my team crazy. 

    An expiring link would be great hopefully it's something you guys can quickly build out.

    Thanks for all the great feedback to this popular request. Allowing our users to maintain control over their calendars is something that is definitely on our radar. While I don't have a target date on when we will support a feature like this, I can say our Product team is looking into a number of ways to improve the experience around this.

    I would also like to see something like this, I do Software Implementation so Calendly is a big help for me trying to work with 25 different customers at once, if my calendar is open they can schedule appointments with me... however once they are out of implementation they should be contacting support... I would like to see an option to set up a block list and if a persons email address was placed in the block list they would no longer have access to my calendar?

    And while a blackmail or block list might be desirable, I still dont want legitimate recipients to auto schedule themselves for a new topic, etc without an email first to request the appt.  I cant afford the time to be blocking and unblocking recipients based on work needs.  Again, I think the logical choice is an expiration for the link, which is set by the user, which would allow for up to infinity if people desired or some # of days, weeks or months.   My nephew works for Enterprise Rental Car and that is what I receive when I request a discounted rental through their family and friends program.  A link which allows me to reserve a car under the discount program which expires after 10 days.

    +1 for the suggestion, it is been a point of fustration for me. I have to change the event names regularly to keep people from scheduling randomly.

    I was hoping for an update on this issue. 

    I generally love Calendly but as my business grows I find that it doesn't do everything I need. I have a course that is available for purchase and I include the opportunity to schedule 4 live sessions. I'd like to be able to limit booking options. Is it possible this might be a new feature soon?

    We need the functionality to block because we use Calendly to book interviews. Once a candidate has been rejected, we don't want him/her to schedule any other interview.

    I hope this can be available soon!

    Elizabet, I achieve this by creating a private event type for each candidate with a url unique to each of them. Once I don’t want them to book another event, I just remove their event type.
