    @Calendly

Please could you reconsider your refusal to design this feature. You would retain and sign up many more customers. It's not ideal creating another event with a different price point.

Everyone else, Calendly prioritises new developments based upon the votes an Idea receives. If you haven't already, please upvote this thread to show the strength of feeling for this feature. It's already gone from 12th most wanted feature back in April to 3rd most wanted today.

Calendly is never going to do this for us. It's time to cancel my account.

Anyone have great alternatives for calendly please post.

Looking at alternatives too. The recent changes to Calendly which I'm currently beta testing don't really add any value - not sure why they have prioritised over this, when so many of their customers want coupon codes...

I'd agree - I'd like to offer private groups a discount code to an event. It seems that can't set up TWO versions of the same event on the same day so I then need to refund - other systems seem to be able to offer this as standard - can't understand why this isn't a feature??

I'm going to investigate moving to another system if this is a no go

I really need this upgrade because as an independent entrepreneur that holds webinars, I need the ability to continue to book them using the app but give somebody a back door that gets them into the session with a simple code. It’s important to me that all of my participants see the full retail price before they sign up.

It may seem like it's not as important as some other functions, but to those using this, it's vital in being able to make use of Calendly. Thanks for considering this as a higher priority and thanks for creating this!

Because I like wasting my time and screaming into the void—+1 for this feature request. I truly don't understand what's so hard about adopting this feature and why it's being ignored. (It's just one field! It requires just a minimal screen to set up each discount! This is not hard!)

I want to use Calendly because I think it's just far prettier and far easier to use for the user (which leads to higher booking rates for me, too). But no ability to offer discounts to certain clients is likely one of the most basic needs a scheduler should have. WHY, Calendly, WHY.

I'm now officially losing customers because of this feature not being available - have been holding off offering loyal customers free training during COVID while we try and figure out a scaleable solution that goes with the paid training option however I'm now going to have to put a manual solution in place for fear or losing more customers.

I'm seeing requests for this that go back years. This feels like an essential option to be able to offer, please please please say this is coming soon. I like using Calendly but need to have this feature so that I'm not creating separate discounted events that make my offerings confusing!

I am in need of discount codes to cut down on having to create so many tailored links for my clients. I see your response that it's not a priority, but it certainly is to a lot of people here! Moving this up the ladder is important and greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

I find it pretty interesting to see how the Calendly team prioritise their features for delivery. The complexity of implementing this feature X the return it would provide (so essentially ROI) seems to me pretty fantastic.

A coupon code logic is essentially a change in price, either a % or a fixed price. Coupons need to be managed (delete, expired, valid, etc), so a status associated with it. Not rocket science.

Considering the Calendly team have been ignoring this feature request (despite providing a system where users can vote for feature requests) I think there must be a conflict of interest somewhere that indicates the team don't want to implement this feature.

I gave up using Calendly (despite having the better UX I could find) after reading these comments and looking at the dates. Coupons are a must-have for me.

It seems that despite a huge demand for this feature, Calendly is choosing not to add it. I loved using Calendly, its a pleasant, smooth and neat platform, but useless to me without this essential feature. After three months of waiting and watching this space for updates, I've given up on Calendly. I'm switching to another platform that has all the basic functionality I need (though without the lovely user experience).

How this isn't already a standard feature is truly baffling. I've never seen a platform that offers e-commerce and NOT have the ability to provide Discount Codes. That's basically e-commerce marketing 101.

With the holidays coming up (Black Friday and Cyber Monday especially) and businesses struggling to get people with limited funds back onto their services, it would be shocking to not have this feature added in the next month or so and a major disservice to Calendly's customers.

Calendly - PLEASE add this honestly extremely basic feature that clearly everyone wants and needs.

    Thank you.

I am wondering if Calendly is funded by a VC. If it is, I would be curious to understand what sort of ridiculous excuse the team is presenting to their VC to justify not implementing this feature.

Anyway, I will stop bothering, moved my business to another booking system. See ya!!

Even though some of the new features are cool, I don’t understand why a simple coupon code can’t be added. How are automations more important than a coupon code?

I have 4 ways of collecting money from clients for various things - my website, Shootproof, PIxieset  and Calendly. Calendly is the only one without a coupon code option. Please elevate this on your priority list! Thanks so much.

I emailed them today about this and received a form email back within minutes.  This suggests to me that they get this question a lot, and are still not doing anything about it.  Why?  Their suggested workaround -- a secret duplicate event -- will not work for me.  Come on, Calendly!

    Here's their form response:

    hanks for reaching out!

At this time, we do not have a setting to allow invitees to enter discount codes. That's a great idea! We're always looking to improve our tool, and I'm happy to pass this along to our Product Team for feedback.

For now, you can clone your event type and require different payment amounts for each. Just visit your event types page and select "Clone" from the gear menu of the event you'd like to copy.

For example, you can require $50 for the event type that is public, and only $40 for a secret event (https://help.calendly.com/hc/articles/226893108-Make-an-event-type-secret). Share the secret event link directly with any invitee who should receive the discounted price, as this event will not appear on your scheduling page for others to choose from.

As many other users have already mentioned, I simply cannot understand why such a simple and basic feature hasn't been added, and we're being forced to beg for it.

This isn't a feature request, this is something Calendly should view as an error on their end and be scrambling to fix. It's like if a car company made a car without windshield wipers, and when customers mentioned this the company replied with, "What a great idea! I'm happy to pass this along to our Product Team for feedback."

I too have emailed about this (first asking how to enable it because like everyone else, I just thought I wasn't able to find where to activate what I assumed was already included) and received the canned response mentioned above, which is a ridiculous solution. I'm fairly sure that Calendly support has probably spent significantly more time responding to support requests about this than it would have taken the Calendly team to just add the feature.

All you have to do is:

    1. Add a text field to the checkout called "Discount Code"

    2. When a specific string of alphanumeric characters are typed into that field and match a discount code set in the back-end, it activates a set discount of $X off or X% off.

    3. It then subtracts that set currency or percentage amount from the original total, and sets the checkout total to the reduced amount.

We're talking simple math, and just automatically reducing a price that can already be adjusted at any time by the user on the back-end. If the user can change the price from $50 to $40 manually at any moment by typing in a number and clicking save, a discount field should be able to apply $10 off the same way in order to change what the customer is then charged in that moment.

If Calendly actually cared about this, I can't see it taking more than a few days to add to their system. So as it approaches 4 years since this thread started, it appears that Calendly just doesn't care.
