    Hello all,

Happy to let you know that you can now remove the cancel and reschedule links from your events and/or add a cancellation policy as seen in this guide. If you need further assistance, please contact support@calendly.com.

    Best,

    Hannah at Calendly

Thanks for sharing. Our team is working on a solution to allow our users to easily enforce a cancellation policy. Check back for updates as they become available in the coming weeks.

How about access to the email template that will allow us to remove it on our own.

You are only allowing us to customize the message part of the template, which is
important, but removing the links at the bottom to cancel and or reschedule is important
    too.

We "second" that.  We would like to remove the cancel / reschedule from reminders.  Last minute changes to our schedules is very disruptive and the ease of the button tends to increase the number.

We are going to cancel our subscription because this is a must have feature for our company. We must speak to customers before re-scheduling.

Amanda, is there really no way to turn off the cancel/reschedule links within Calendly?

Yeah, we need this feature also.

We are finding a lot of people canceling since we made it so easy :)

Would be good if we could have a click to call button that they could use to reschedule or cancle.

    Thanks - Emma

    Hey Canopy -

Many apologies, but at this time, the only way to hide those links is to manually remove them from the calendar event created for each scheduled event and then sending the updates to your invitees. We understand the frustration around these links and our team is exploring ways to reduce their prominency.

    Amanda,

You mention that we can hide the reschedule links by manually removing them from the calendar event created for each scheduled event.  Could you provide a step-by-step guide detailing how to do that?

    Thanks!

I agree with other users, I and my five colleagues who use calendly would really like to see some solution to the lack of manageable cancellation and reschedule features.

Sure Deborah. It it is worth mentioning that this can only work if you're using a Google or Office 365 calendar. To get started,

    1. If you have your Google or Office 365 calendar connected to Calendly, then you'll want to set your event types to use Calendar Invitation notifications. See here for steps on setting that up and more info on why this is a better experience for your invitees.
    2. Schedule a meeting from an event type using Calendar Invitation notifications.
    3. Find the event in your calendar and remove the cancel and reschedule links. You'll be asked by your own calendar if you want to send the updates to your invitee. Choose to send updates to ensure the links are removed from their calendar event.

    Hi Amanda,

Do we have an ETA on when this may be available?

We love the system, but we need to remove this to continue our subscription

    Hi Amanda,

Our company also need stricter rules on cancelling and rescheduling which would be easier to implement / enforce if we gave them the option to call us to cancel or reschedule rather then having the option on the automated email. Although, I appreciate the step by step guide above, this should really be an easily modified function on your website.

Please update us on the progress of a option to remove cancel and / or reschedule buttons, and provide us with an estimate of the time scale for when it will implemented. We are loosing money by booking staff in for meeting and getting very late cancellations and therefore, we have to pay our staff to do nothing. As a result we will have to look at other scheduling platforms if this is not resolved soon.

    Regards,

    Phil

What I have done is changed the wording of the auto reply that my clients receive. In it, it says DO NOT RESCHEDULE through this email or your session will be cancelled. Working so far!

I posted this on a similar topic tread and I am going to post it here as well.  Having the option to remove the cancel button seems like it should be a pretty easy thing to implement.  Despite having a 48 hour cancellation policy, we are getting last minute cancellations from clients.  Technically I can't send reminders to clients the day before their appointment because it includes the option to cancel, rendering our late cancellation policy null and void, and unenforceable. I emailed Calendly about this weeks ago and never heard back.  Another program I am reviewing has a pop up that explains our cancellation policy (which is nice), and it says the client is attempting to cancel outside the timeframe and instructs them to call our office.  I really like Calendly but if this feature cannot be change, it really isn't going to work for us.  I am not sure how it could work for any business with any sort of cancellation policy.  BTW, we tried the "do not cancel or reschedule through this email" and that doesn't make any difference whatsoever.

Has there been an update to this topic?  We need to be able to control this feature/message as well.

Are you invoicing your clients prior to their appointment? My clients have to pay in full once they make the reservation through Calendly. They make the reservation through Calendly, then I invoice them. If they don't pay within 24 hours, they lose their spot. I can't imagine people would cancel as often as they do with you if they were forced to pay in advance. Just a suggestion!

I will add another voice to those requesting the ability to suppress the Cancel and Reschedule links in the confirmation email.  I generally like Calendly, but can not implement it for our academic advising office without the ability to remove those links from the confirmations.  We need our students to call to reschedule or cancel.

Hello Amanda - we're evaluating Calendly for our organization (100+ users) and just came across this thread. I think the three options below is what everyone is speaking of, however not sure (I hope they do) if they disappear with the paid version of Calendly, or its a part of Calendly's standard template that auto-inserts into every calendar description. If its an auto-insert, then it should take your developers 1-2 hours to add an option for us users to allow/disallow guests to change or cancel an event. There is absolutely no reason why Calendly should make these additional options available automatically as it defies all rules of us paying for Calendly to keep our business schedules orderly. Its really upsetting when my calendar setting is set so users can't adjust timing, then the user is able to adjust it a few minutes before my meetings using Calendly. Please provide us all an interim update as soon as you're able to.

Is this still not possible? We also want to control the behavior a bit more, which Calendly in general is good for, but we would need to remove the cancel/reschedule links in the calendar invitation.

As someone else mentioned this seem like a low-hanging fruit.

I never have an issue with the reschedule button. It would be nice if there was an option to remove it. However, people are people, and they are going to reschedule regardless if whether the button is there or not. The only way--I have found--to avoid having a client reschedule, is to ensure you are charging a deposit of some sort in advance upon booking. That's what I do, and I never have clients reschedule because of it. Not sure what type of business you are in, but if they are booking your time, surely some sort of deposit should be collected, I would think.

Our team seconds this as well! We feel this encourages/prompts users to take the action to change their scheduled event due to the easy access within the email reminder and the large call to action buttons.
