    Hello Jenn,

Happy to let you know that you can now remove the cancel and reschedule links from your events and/or add a cancellation policy as seen in this guide. If you need further assistance, please contact support@calendly.com.

    Best,

    Hannah at Calendly

I agree with Jenn. A last minute cancellation leaves me no opportunity to offer the time slot to another client, and leaves holes in my schedule where I'm making no money.

This is a super important feature, and the lack of it is causing me to look at alternative scheduling tools.

This limit would, of course, apply only to clients. I should be able to cancel at any time from my dashboard.

Looking for this as we speak, I had someone cancel 2 hours before!

I agree with all of the community posts, this one and others regarding cancellations.  I just had a cancellation for my 11:30 am appointment and that left a big block that could have been used by others. She rescheduled for a time that I vocally told someone could be an option.  I think that if they didn't think they had the option to cancel they wouldn't as I have had very few cancel when I was doing this manually.  Is there a way to take away the cancellation option, until there is a way to set a Buffer?

    Thanks

I would disagree with Annette that the temporary solution is to remove the option to cancel, since then, we would have to do it manually ourselves. I think that we should definitely have an option to turn off cancellations on a specific time frame, for example, 24 hours.

This just happened to me this morning. Someone cancelled 1 hour before her appointment and rescheduled herself for tomorrow. I use Calendly for my business and this is bad business!

I don't want to add required questions about my cancellation policy to the scheduling process. I want there to be an option to prevent cancellations within a predetermined window of time. And I would like to choose whether to allow clients the option to reschedule.

The way Calendly is currently set up, this is a deal-breaker for me. I can't continue using it because this cancellation/reschedule functionality does not work for me.

    In lovingkindness,
    Alex

Wanted to bump this. This is the only feature that is making me considering finding another company to handle my scheduling needs. I really love Calendly so far, but I won't be able to function without this feature... :(  Hoping for a very quick solution!

Definitely want to voice my concern over the lack of a cancellation/reschedule time frame limiter in the system. This seems like a no-brainer. I am one of six account users in my office. We didn't realize this lack of functionality when committing to use calendly. Like other users have already stated, this situation will cause many business disruptions. We hope that it is addressed soon, as we really like all other calendly features. If it is not, we'll be looking for new system.

PS - The ability to remove the "reschedule/cancel" feature in the appointment reminder emails would also serve the same purpose. I believe their is another thread about that and i'll post there too.

I have commented before and totally agree with Jenn. I just had an invitee reschedule an event for the 2nd time.  I would also like to limit rescheduling with the same restrictions of cancellations.  She rescheduled both at the last minute, which then interferes with the entire weeks calendar.  I would still like to have an option to allow cancellations or not.  And, an expiration on the link we send to someone.  I had someone schedule 2 weeks after I sent them the invite to meet.  I would prefer not to even meet with this person that hasn't considered this important enough to schedule quickly, especially since they asked for the meeting in the first place.  THANKS!

I just had someone reschedule an appointment at the last minute ... on my birthday. I didn't go out because I set aside time for this potential client. Calendly needs to fix this ASAP.

@Andrea Wilson Woods  Let that be a lesson for the future. Honor yourself first, set the time aside to celebrate you above all. The client will still be there if it's meant for you. The Universe rewards self love in a huge way. Happy birthday!!

I would love to have this feature with the option to turn it off and/or remove cancellation opportunities.

Usually, my clients are good, but I just had someone cancel twenty minutes before a meeting.

This was the first time that this happened to me so close to a meeting, so I presumed there was just a little box that I'd neglected to check when setting up that event type.

However, upon a cursory investigation, I found several threads repeatedly requesting this feature, dating well over a year back.

    This is unacceptable.

It's obvious to me that it would be irresponsible for me to continue to use this platform as-is.

I am migrating to an alternative web-scheduling platform and terminating my contract with Calendly at the conclusion of this month.

    Best wishes.

We just had someone reschedule 3 minutes before an appointment, which allowed them to bypass our policy of having to pay for another appointment if you miss your first one without canceling or rescheduling.

    We need this feature!

Hey Hanna (from Calendly), You mention that you now have added the options to "remove the cancel and reschedule links from your events and/or add a cancellation policy" unfortunately, that doesn't solve the whole issue, and it removes an important feature.

We could add cancelation policies in other fields already and the reschedule option is quite handy. I personally just wanted to limit the cancellation time frame not to remove the option because now that means that rescheduling gets more complicated vs. a simple link.

    @Hannah,
This solution does not solve the problem. Now either we have a cancellation policy in place (which already existed and some people will abuse) OR we remove the cancellation policy and occasionally people will just not show up at all, or cancel via email, which is a headache. What we needed (from my quick read of the comments) is a way for people to cancel within a certain time frame. For example, I allow people to cancel/reschedule no later than 24 hours prior to the event. I want to have that policy in place but prevent people from abusing it so if someone tries to cancel 12 hours before an event, Calendly will not allow that function to occur.
    This "solution" is a band-aid, not a fix. :(

This 'solution' is not a solution at all. We are asking for a time period before the appointment where they cannot cancel . . .

totally agree here too! An option where you chose that 24 hrs or 48 hrs before they just cannot cancel. End of story. Is it that hard to organise or developers don't do it for legal reasons? curious for such a basic feature
