Auditing user email communications sent from Calendly

To assist with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) compliance, Calendly allows for all correspondence (including reminders, reschedules and cancelation notifications) to be copied to a centralized company supervisory email. This will aid in compliance regarding SEC Rule 17a-3, 17a-4, and the Advisers Act Rule 204-2.

How to enable communication auditing

If you are interested in this feature, reach out to your Calendly Customer Success Manager. Once you provide them with an email address, they will turn on the feature for your organization's Calendly account. Once enabled, all correspondence sent by your organization via Calendly will be blind copied (bcc) to the requested email address.

Calendly will also include X-Headers in the email that can be used to identify the original owner, event ID, and link that was used. These can be used to reconcile the email that was sent to the person that sent it in Calendly.

Email headers included

  • Sender Email (X-Calendly-Sender-Email): The email of the event publisher or event type owner.
  • Sender Id (X-Calendly-Sender-ID): The uuid of the event publisher or event type owner.
  • Sender Event Type Id (X-Calendly-Sender-Event-Type-ID): The uuid of the event type associated with the email.
  • Sender Event Type Url (X-Calendly-Sender-Event-Type-URL): The human-readable booking url for the event type. This URL may change over time, so only use this as a reference.
  • Sender Event Id (X-Calendly-Sender-Event-ID): The uuid of the event associated with the email.
  • Recipient Email (X-Calendly-Recipient-Email):The email address of the invitee or publisher who received the email message. This will be identical to the the “to” field in the email message.
