What to expect when starting a meeting with Calendly Notetaker

Learn what happens when you start a meeting with Calendly Notetaker, ensuring a seamless experience every time!

Before you begin

  • Enable the Notetaker for your meetings.
  • Notetaker works with meetings scheduled through Calendly or Google Calendar.
  • Supported platforms: Zoom and Google Meet.

At the meeting start time:

  • Calendly Notetaker joins your Zoom meeting.
  • When the host joins, a banner appears at the top of the screen:
    "This meeting is being recorded."

You’ll see:

  • A button to select OK and close the banner.
    • If you do, a “Recording…” icon and four small squares appear in the top right.
    • If you don’t, the banner stays on screen.

Select the four squares to view this message:

Only the meeting host that included the Notetaker can remove it from the meeting.

If you are a meeting invitee and would like your meeting host to remove the Notetaker, please let them know.

You can change what invitees see in Zoom by customizing the consent message.
Note: This must be done in Zoom settings, not Calendly.
