Beyond things like connecting your calendar, event durations, and buffers, Calendly also has more nuanced rules for your availability.
Adjust your start time increments
-
From your Event types page, select the event type you wish to edit.
- Select More options at the bottom of the editor.
- Expand the Booking page options section.
-
Under Start time increments, select the frequency. The shorter the frequency, the more start time options your invitee sees.
- Select Save changes.
Limit bookings for a specific event type
-
From your Event types page, select the event type you wish to edit.
- Select More options at the bottom of the editor.
- Expand the Limits and buffers section.
- Under Max meetings, enter the maximum number of events of this type that can be booked per day, week, or month.
- Select Save changes.
Prevent last minute bookings
- From your Event types page, select the event type you wish to edit.
- Expand the Availability section and locate the Date-range section.
- Enter the minimum notice you would like before scheduled meetings.
- Select Save changes.
Set the time zone display for invitees
By default, Calendly will automatically detect your time zone as well as the time zone of the invitee, so you don't need to adjust it yourself! If you are meeting in-person, we recommend locking the time zone to the location of the event.
To lock the time zone
-
From your Event types page, select the event type you wish to edit.
- Select More options at the bottom of the editor.
- Expand the Booking page options section.
- Select Lock the timezone.
- Select Save changes.
Make an event secret
You can set your event as secret to hide it from your main scheduling page. Only people with the link can access it.
- From your Event types page, select the settings gear of the event type you wish to make secret.
- Select Make secret.
Set your booking date range
- From your Event types page, select the event type you wish to edit.
- Expand the Availability section and locate the Date-range section.
-
Expand the X days dropdown and choose:
- A number of days into the future and specify the number of days into the future they can book and whether they are Calendar days (including weekends) or Business days (excluding weekends).
- Within a date range, then select the box to choose a specific range of dates on the calendar.
- Indefinitely into the future, to allow others to book time any time in the future.
- Select Save changes.
